Mominul Haque is a Bangladeshi Cricketer from the coastal town of Cox's Bazar. Mominul is a left-hand batsman,  slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Mominul Haque plays mainly as a Batsman, rolls his arm if needed. He is a regular member of test team.  Mominul is a class act, he has a very sound technique. His batting is a treat to watch when he is in full flow. Mominul is very strong in both sides of the wicket.  His favorite shot is square-cut, he is a master of this shot. He took just 21 innings to achieve the landmark. Mominul Haque holds an incredible record of scoring fifty in 11 consecutive test matches, only the 5th batsman in cricket history to do so.

Mominul Haque's Biography

Mominul Haque was born on September 29, 1991 at Cox's Bazar, Chittagong, Bangladesh. He was passionate about cricket from the very early age. His dream was to play for Bangladesh National Cricket Team. To make his dream true, Mominul joined BKSP(Government-funded autonomous sports institute). He was impressive in the differnt age-group level cricket. Mominul made his first-class debut for Dhaka Division in 2008-09 season. Mominul  Haque was picked for the 2010 U-19 Cricket World Cup squad. By then, he was considered as an upcoming talent. Hence, he was included in the National Cricket Academy. Mominul was outstanding there also. He continued to score runs in the domestic level. That earned him a  spot in the Bangladesh 'A' team for the West Indies tour. Mominul scored a fantastic 150 in the opening match of the tour. Back from the tour, he scored back to back centuries. Mominul came into the spot light when he scored an unbeaten 53 of just 28 balls for Barisal Burners against the Khulna Royal Bengals in Bangladesh Premier League 2012. He won the man of the match award for this spectacular effort. At last,  Mominul's hard work paid off. Mominul was picked for the National Team for the ODI series against West Indies. He replaced injured Shakib Al Hasan.

Mominul made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2013. He scored a half-century in his debut.

Mominul scored his maiden test hundred against New Zealand in 2013, and followed by another hundred in the 2nd test of the series.

Mominul Haque is one of the key figure of test team. He is solid, dependable & consistent in this format. But, he is yet to cement his place in the limited over squad. He will be keen to perform better in limited over cricket.
