Shakib Al Hasan Biography and Cricket Activitis

Shakib Al Hassan is an all-round performer as left-handed spinner and left-handed batsman that made him number 1 all-rounder in the cricket world for several times. He has most hundreds for Bangladesh along with the highest wicket picker and contributed for the Bangladesh National Team win for many times with his batting, bowling all-round performances.

Shakib Al Hasan is a senior member of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. He is regarded as the best cricketer Bangladesh has ever produced. He is a left-hand middle-order batsman and Slow left arm bowler. Shakib is aggressive while batting, and accurate while bowling. He has the record of holding the number 1 all rounder position in all forms of cricket.

Shakib Al Hasan's Early life


Shakib Al Hasan was born on 24 March 1987 at Magura, Khulna, Bangladesh. Shakib started playing cricket at a very early age. He then joins BKSP (a government-run sports institute). Shakib played for Khulna Division in the national domestic league while he was 17. He then represented Bangladesh at U-19 level. Shakib came into the limelight in 2005, when he scored a century and took three wickets in the final of a tri-nation U-19 tournament.Often he was hired to play cricket because he was very good at very small age. Shakib used to play with taped Tennis ball then.

Like many other Bangladeshi Cricketer, Shakib Al Hasan  is a product of BKSP (Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan). He spent six months there. Shakib was picked for the U-19 squad for the tri-series which featured Sri Lanka and England. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He scored an 86 ball century and took 3 wickets in the final match of the tournament, helping his team to win the tournament.

Shakib made his ODI debut for Bangladesh National team against Zimbabwe in 2006. He scored 30 runs and took 1 wicket in his debut ODI. In the same year, Shakib made his test debut against India. He was a consistent performer from the very beginning, which earned him a place in the 2007 Cricket world cup.  Bangladesh played their first match of the tournament against India, Shakib scored a composed half-century under pressure. That helped Bangladesh achieving a famous victory. Shakib continued to perform well after the world cup. He was the most consistent performer for his team.  In 2009, Shakib was rewarded with captaincy by the Bangladesh cricket board for his good work. Shakib performed even better with the responsibility. In 2010, New Zealand came to Bangladesh for a 5 match ODI series. Under Shakib's brilliant captaincy, Bangladesh whitewashed New Zealand. That made him biggest star of the country. Bangladesh took part in the ICC cricket world cup 2011 under Shakib's captaincy. Bangladesh was able to beat England in the world cup. After the world cup, Bangladesh visited Zimbabwe where they had a poor series. As a result, Shakib was axed from captaincy.

International career of Shakib Al Hasan starts with ODI in 2006 against Zimbabwe and he was successful to draw the attention of the selectors to be continued in the national team. He was captain for Bangladesh team in the session of 2009-2011. As a captain, he made Bangladesh win 22 matches among 47, even Bangladesh cricket team beat England for first time in world cup under his captaincy in 2011.

He is the best player in the team, because of his calm tendency in the time of pressure. His glorious cricket career attracts the IPL team Kolkata Knight Rider to make him one of their team members and playing in Pakistan Super League and English county league.

Shakib Al Hasan made ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2006. Shakib scored 30 runs, took 1 wicket in his debut match. In the same year, he made his test debut against India.
